Tour Prices
CULTIVATE Travels LLC (know here within and collectively as CULTIVATE) Tour Prices quoted in US dollars are subject to change at any time. Rates include single occupancy accommodation, internal transfers stated on itinerary (though not outside of personal changes or desires), tour guides, activities stated on itinerary, entrance to museums stated on itinerary, meals stated on itinerary, hotel taxes, gratuities for all destination contacts including drivers, bellmen, wait staff, housekeeping, tour guides on the itinerary. A discretionary gift for tour guides (not monetary) is up to the group.
Gratuities
Prices include all gratuities for local guides, wait staff, bellmen, housekeepers, and drivers.
Not included in tour price
Transfers from your home to airport, airfare and all charges associated with air travel including change or cancellation fees and baggage fees, any changes due to delays or cancellations that effect transfers from airport at local destinations. Cost of passports and visas, personal expenses, laundry, room service (when not stated on itinerary), immunizations, inoculations, communication charges. Personal purchases and meals not included on itinerary, as well as all alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages including water.
Billed one week after the trip
The total cost of extra meals outside the ones included on itinerary are divided equally as well as water and non-alcoholic beverages such as water, soda, soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages are divided equally for those who drank during the particular meal as noted by the tour leader. Personal services (massages, Hammams, laundry etc), any extra activities, or agreed group purchases that are added during the trip will be paid by the CULTIVATE tour leader and billed/invoiced at cost the week after the trip. We kindly ask you to make payment upon receipt of invoice.
Registration and payment
Trip registration is required to hold a spot. A reservation is only confirmed after payment of a 50% non refundable deposit. Deposits not paid within 10 days of the invoice date, automatically cancel a registration. On trips with a waitlist, open places are immediately filled according to priority, and require a same day 50% non-refundable deposit. Full trip payment is due upon invoice receipt and no later than 90 days before departure unless requested otherwise.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation fees are determined according to number of days prior to trip. The cancellations fees per person are for 96+ days/$200; 95 days or less there is no refund. Given we pay local guides and activities in advance, and many are smaller destination operators, we hope you understand the difficulty in refunds. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early.
We reserve the right to cancel departures in cases of force majeure or the failure of third parties—such as hotels—to honor their reservations. In these cases, you will be refunded your trip price. We reserve the right to refund deposits based on our discretion or administrative errors up to 45 days prior to departure. CULTIVATE is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled or postponed trips, such as airline tickets, or for costs that are incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations or illness.

Required information
Upon reservation, we will need to obtain your full name as it appears on your passport, date of birth, and gender. A passport valid for at least six months after the completion of your tour is required for all US citizens, other citizens are required to check with their country of citizenship for validation.
If your trip requires a visa, we strongly recommend that you have at least six blank pages in your passport. You are responsible for obtaining any visa requirements.
Health and medical issues
We request that you are in good health to participate in any tour. All of the tours require a good amount of walking, often uphill and on uneven streets. Please note that our tours do not accommodate wheelchairs for reasons at local destinations that are beyond our control. Please contact us with any questions you may have. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose physical condition or mental behavior, in our opinion, compromises, the operations of the tour, and or the well being and comfort of other guests. In that event, CULTIVATE assumes no financial responsibility for any unused portion of the tour.
Dietary Restrictions:
For safety and liability reasons, CULTIVATE and its representatives cannot be responsible for directly accommodating any food allergies, or dietary requirements and restrictions, and is not responsible for any issues or problems associated with the same. All special dietary requests regarding food and drink, including allergies, or dietary requirements and restrictions, are the sole responsibility of the guest. Some food establishments can offer general options, CULTIVATE cannot guarantee that options will be available.
Travel Protection Plan
Because you can’t plan for the unexpected, we strongly encourage that you consider a travel protection plan to help protect against financial loss due to cancellation fees and medical issues. You will also want to consider the cost of flights in insurance protection. A travel protection plan may protect up to 100% of your vacation investment when unforeseen covered issues arise.
Trip Forms & Release of Liability
Guests are required to complete and sign our Release, Assumption of All Risks, and Binding Arbitration Agreement and Registration Form. Signable copies are made available on the CULTIVATE website for your convenience. Signatures are required after booking and all forms must be completed prior to final payment. We are unable to allow guests to participate in any aspect of a CULTIVATE trip without a signed release form.
Responsibility
CULTIVATE and its employees, shareholders, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, successors, and assigns (collectively CULTIVATE), do not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip including, for example, lodging facilities, airline, vessel or other transportation companies, animals, guides, or guide services, local ground operators, providers or organizations of excursions (optional or otherwise), food service providers etc. All such persons and entities are independent providers. As a result, CULTIVATE is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such person or entity or of any other third party. In addition, CULTIVATE is not liable for any negligent act or failure to act because of it.
Without limitation, CULTIVATE is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to person or property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from, but not limited to, act of God or force majuere, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, insects, strikes or other labor activities, epidemics or the threat thereof, criminal conduct, terrorist activities or the threat thereof, sickness, illness, the lack of availability of or access to appropriate medical attention, activities or climate conditions for which the traveler is physically unprepared, overbooking or changing of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes, cars, vans or other means of transportation, or for any failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.
CULTIVATE reserves the right to correct errors in pricing. We reserve the right to cancel an advertised tour, decline or accept a reservation, or remove a person from a tour if it is determined by our representative to be in the best interests of the health, safety, and general well-being of the other tour members.
We will make every effort to operate our tours as planned, but we reserve the right to make itinerary changes as necessary. If unforeseen circumstances require us to change a hotel, we select alternative accommodations of the same or better quality.
Binding Arbitration
Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating in any way to the Terms & Conditions, to the Responsibility Clause, to the marketing and information material via brochure, website, email or any other information relating tin an way to the trip, or to the trip itself, shall be resolved solely and exclusively by binding arbitration in California, in accordance with the then existing commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association. In any such arbitration substantive California law will apply. The arbitrator and not any federal state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to any claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable.
